HIRING
They're working night and day to complete Kushner's townhouse development on Wesley Lake in Asbury Park. But who exactly is working there? We discussed opportunities for local workers and businesses to partake in the multimillion dollar redevelopment of Asbury's waterfront. Lara Schwager, director of development for Paramount Homes told us their North Beach project has already generated $1.8 million in business for Asbury Park, from Frank's Deli, Jersey Oil and TJ's Pizza to Wanna Window, and she says $80,000 went directly to Asbury Park residents as part of the company's "best effort" program to hire city residents first. The stats are filed monthly with the city.
Also, an update from Joy Gamble, who is fighting eminent domain in Ohio. The infamous C-8 property on Ocean Avenue is coming down and local contractor Henry Vaccaro has the demolition contract on this one.
